Choosing an office chair?

Choosing the right office chair is an important decision, particularly as there are different requirements, space, and budgets to meet.

Consider the environment

Is it for heavy 24-hour use, call centres, healthcare or high traffic areas such as hot desks?

We have chairs to cover a wide range of applications, from occassional use to 24hr heavy duty environments. Take the time to understand the environment the chair is going in to, and how it will be used to ensure the chair is fit for purpose.

Consider the materials that would be most applicable to the environment, do they need to be easy to clean (for example PU) or do they need to be breathable for improved comfort (for example Mesh).

Does the space have a specific aesthetic that the seating will need to adhere to, or are they looking for something new? Many chairs can be upholstered to match a customers requirement or brand colours using our upholstery service.

What are the unique user requirements

Will the chair be used by someone who will be in need of posture support? We offer a physio certified range of posture chairs that can be tailored to the user's unique needs.

Ensure the chair is set up correctly and has the correct functionality for your needs, for example seat slide, forward seat tilt or adjustable arms.

Consider the users weight and how long they will be using the chair for to ensure they purchase the correct specification. We can provide heavy duty chairs of up to 35 stone weight capacity. Why not try our free DSE Assessment where we can advise on suitable chairs too.
